About Woods Design Builders

Santa Fe has been our home for over thirty-five years.

Woods was founded in 1977 by Sharon and Robert Woods. Together they pioneered the design-build concept with architectural design and construction being performed by the same team. Sharon and Robert quickly built the company from the ground up into one of the most recognizable brands in Santa Fe, completing numerous award-winning projects and were featured in prominent publications such as Architectural Digest and This Old House.

Sharon Woods

Sharon has designed and built hundreds of the finest homes in Santa Fe for four decades. She co-authored the best-selling coffee table book, Santa Fe Style and Santa Fe Homes. She was appointed by two different Santa Fe city mayors to chair the City of Santa Fe Historic Board and has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2010 Santa Fe Business Woman of the Year Award.

Second-Generation Owners

In 2008 Sharon’s sons, Rob and Shane, joined the company and now serve as second-generation owners, while Sharon has remained with the company to oversee design.

Every milestone event growing up was filled with Woods employees and clients. Our parents instilled in us how important it is to take care of people and take pride in what you do.
